It is also used for pain and inflammation in the skin, muscles and joints. Burdock contains dietary fibre and shows antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Both plants are Diuretic and help urine flow.
Dandelion root acts as mild laxative and helps to soften stools. By improving bile production in the body, this herbal ‘tea’ infusion also promotes healthy metabolism of fats. This also stimulates your natural appetite and improves digestive health.
Dandelion root has a natural diuretic effect, allowing your liver to more quickly eliminate toxins. It also helps strengthen the immune system, balance blood sugar levels, relieve heartburn and soothe digestive issues.
Burdock root is famed for its anti-oxidant properties amongst herbalists. It is also a diuretic which helps the kidneys filter impurities from the blood. It also helps the liver perform the same function. Burdock is also a good source of polyacetylenes which has been shown to have strong anti-bacterial properties.
You can also make beer and a tonic from this combination.
