Slightly smokey & sulphurous, this Indian rock Salt can be added to Curry dishes to enhance its flavour.
This, basically, is Himalayan Pink rock Salt that has undergone further natural volcanic treatment.
These colours come from the presence of trace minerals such as magnesium, as well as volcanic iron.
The finishing salt has a strong sulphur taste and smell, though it does weaken once used in cooking.
While this unique quality is often diffused when cooked, it does add a slight taste of eggs to the dish.
Black salt is commonly used in deep-fried snacks, chaats and tasty salads and is known to aid flatulence and heartburn.
